Enjoy the stunning scenery of Argentinean Patagonia from a whole new perspective, that will allow you contemplate it in all its inmensity. The Calafate Balcony 4x4 excursion takes you to a panoramic viewpoint in all-terrain vehicles, to observe and capture with your camera a 360 degree natural landscape that allows you to admire El Calafate and Lake Argentino, the largest lake in Argentina.

With two daily departures, the excursion starts from the hotels of El Calafate and completes a fun journey of 35 km ride over the hills behind the town. Our expert guide will be able to tell us more interesting details of the typical Patagonian landscapes that surround us.

The trail takes us through landscapes that marvel at its varied vegetation of height. It reaches up to 1050 metres above the sea. There, the first stop is a natural viewpoint where passengers enjoy a panoramic view of El Calafate and the Argentino Lake .

In the background, the unforgettable and imposing framework of the Andes Mountains, and time to time, depending on the season and the weather, it will be possible to see the accumulation of glaciers on Lake Argentino, and the high mountains of the Patagonian Ice Field such as Cerro Fitz Roy and the Tower in Chalten. With some luck, the condor, master of the Patagonian skies, may be seen in his long plan. A unique show.

Afterwards, we will be able to continue until we reach the Stone Labyrinth, which with its impressive stones takes us back to prehistoric times and lunar landscape; it welcomes us to take a break, and a lunch or snack, depending on the selected schedule in the Huyliche confectionery.

Once we finish our 4x4 trip, we return along the northern slope of the hill until we reach the Piedra de los Sombreros, interesting iron concretions.

We will head to the centre of Calafate hill along with the view of Lago Argentino and return to the city centre hotels in Calafate.
