Take a day away from Hue and venture to Paradise Cave, the longest dry cave in Asia. On your way, pass through the demilitarised zone of Quang Tri to see historic sites like the McNamara Line, and grab lunch before exploring the amazing formations in Paradise Cave itself.

Start your day with an early morning pickup from your hotel and begin driving north out of Hue. After a pause at La Vang to see the Basilica of Our Lady of La Vang, continue through the demilitarised zone of Quang Tri, which sat near the Ben Hai River between the historic North and South Vietnam. Your drive takes you past the McNamara Line, used by the United States during the Vietnam War, as well as the Hien Luong Bridge that crosses Ben Hai River in the 17th Parallel.

Take lunch in the town of Xuan Son before arriving finally at Paradise Cave, known locally as Hang Thien Duong. Discovered in 2005, the cave totals 19 miles (31 km) in length, making it the longest dry cave in Asia. Your guide leads you inside, pointing out the fantastical limestone stalagmites and stalactites that naturally decorate the caverns. As you walk through the ethereal landscapes, admire ancient formations that have been frozen in time. Your day comes to an end as you return to Hue from your cave adventure.
