Sample fine Swiss cheese and chocolate on this day trip to the mountain town of Gruyères. Visit La Maison du Gruyère for a guided tour of the cheese factory and stop for a fondu lunch at the restaurant. After head to the nearby Maison Cailler to tour the factory and taste fresh Swiss chocolate.
To begin the day trip, you’ll be picked up from your accommodation and driven out to the picturesque medieval town of Gruyéres, admiring magnificent views of the mountains as you go.
Your first stop will be at La Maison du Gruyère for a guided tour of the factory. You’ll learn about the history of the famous cheese and how it's made. At the end, you’ll have time to stop for lunch at the factory’s restaurant and enjoy a rich fondu and a glass of wine.
After lunch, head to the Maison Cailler in the neighbouring town of Broc. Take a tour around the factory and learn how the luxurious chocolate is made, with plenty of time left for a tasting at the end.
Following a day sampling rich Swiss delicacies, you’ll be driven back to your accommodation in Geneva.
