What you can expect

From 2:30 am our bus passes through the different hotels to start our trip to one of the deepest canyons in the world, taking the road of Yura, bordering the snowy Chachani towards Pampa Cañahuas (National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas) habitat of the beautiful South American camelids, the vicunas. In bofedales of Tocra we will be able to appreciate variety of migratory birds, among which there are flamingos. We will pass by the crater of an extinct volcano (Chucura). We stop at the Mirador of the Volcanoes, which is also the highest area of the road (4,910 m.s.n.m.), from where we will appreciate a large part of the Cordillera Occidental. Approximately hours 7:00 to 7:30am we will arrive to the town of Chivay; then we will go to Cruz del Condor Lookout, strategic observation point of the Canyon and the spectacular flight of the Condor. Of return we stop at the peoples of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque with beautiful colonial churches. From the viewpoints of Antahuilque Choquetico and observe the impressive terraces of the valley, the pre-Inca tombs and a model pre-Inca the area carved in stone.

We will return to the town of Chivay at approximately 12:20 p.m. where we will have lunch, then the bus that depart at 01:00 p.m. from the centre of the town of Chivay. In this journey of we will make stops to appreciate beautiful landscapes. We arrive at approximately Puno to 07:30 p.m.
