We are positioned on a hillside with stunning views looking into the valley with towns of Zrece and Slovenska Konjice below. Our house has been substantially modernised in recent years with a large open plan kitchen and dining area and breakfast balcony overlooking the valley this room has a traditional wood burning fireplace and a cosy separate lounge, tv area. We have a modern luxury bathroom on the ground floor with a walk in power shower. Upstairs there are 3 attractive chalet style bedrooms one with a balcony another with magnificent views of the valley below the bedrooms are spacious , twin bedded and can comfortably sleep 6 people. We have a terrace to the side of our house for outside dining which is equipped with a traditional Slovenia barbeque. In Summer the terrace is a great place to enjoy breakfast or lunch as it has magnificent views down into the valley. You will find that Kitchen is both modern and very well equipped. Summer Activities: We are situated within walking distance of an extensive network of way marked trails (maps provided) for walking and cycling through pine forest mixed woodland and pastures. This vast network of trails offers stunning vistas over the valley and surrounding hills. By arrangement through the local tourist office in Zrece it is possible to combine your walk/cycle ride with a visit to one of the many farms where you can enjoy a banquet of lovingly prepared home cooked food, local produce and snaps. The area is totally unspoilt and rural in nature perfectly suited to peace and relaxation and sightseeing in general. The climate in Summer generally gives above average hours of sunshine and the mountain location ensures that it is never too hot. There is a golf course close to the town of Slovenske Konjice about 20min by car. The course is set amongst vineyards and has a stream running through the centre and includes 9 holes with a total course length of 2500m and a par of Winter Activities: Skiing, Snowboarding and cross-country skiing are very good from December until March in the immediate area. The ski resort at Rogla is not only one of the largest in Slovenia but at 1500m is also one the highest. You will find everything that you need for your skiing holiday ski rental, servicing, restaurants and a kindergarten . A fabulous leisure facility stands at the top of the lift system with Olympic class facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports a pool, thermal baths and saunas. For adrenalin junkies there is a 1.4km toboggan run close to the Ski Centre. There is virtually no light pollution on Planina meaning that stargazer's will be treated to a dramatic view of the night sky particularly in the Winter months. We have a great selection of DVDs, for relaxing evenings books and video console games available for your use in the lounge area. The mountains are different, high rolling pastures backed by miles and miles of forest makes ideal hiking and biking country. Road bikes, gravel bikes or mountain bikes will be at home here...just be aware if you are on a road bike that some of the higher roads are not paved...gravel!! The scenery is spectacular, the people are very friendly and the food is excellent. The house was large and comfortable....the only downside (for 5 of us) was one bathroom...but that is the only negative and you know before you come. Other than that I would recommend anyone who loves the mountains or beautiful scenery to come and spend a week or more here! ##### Simon D. The house is just beautiful, unique, and charming. Spacious, comfortable, well-equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed quiet mornings, meals, and views on the outside dining patio. The surrounding rolling hills provide ample opportunity for mountain biking, running, walking. Ptuj, the oldest town in Slovenia, is very pretty and worth a visit. Since we were there during the summer heat, we would sightsee during the morning and cool off in a Terme park during the afternoon. Ptuj’s waterpark is new, very nice, but crowded - to be expected. We enjoyed the Terme Zrece swimming complex, as well; its’ a short drive from the house. We also visited the Museum of Evolution in Krapina, Croatia, at the site where a significant discovery of Neanderthal man was found. The town does not offer much, but the museum is impressive, very well done. We thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic Pekel (Hell’s) Cave, 5km north of nearby Sempeter. These cool caverns were an inviting respite from the August heat and surprisingly uncrowded. The tour guide was fantastic. The Roman Necropolis in Sempeter was an interesting site, as the guide gave us an energetic, entertaining and informative tour. So, we really learned about the mythological inspired motifs. Het huis kende we van vorig jaar en het voelde als thuis komen. Prachtig en mooi ingericht huis met hele mooie uitzichten. Schön gelegen. Kuhglocken und Hahnkrähen sollten einen nicht stören. Das Grundstück ist leider nicht umzäunt. Es gibt gegen Abend wirklich viele Ameisen unter dem Mittelblock in der Küche, danach sollte mal jemand schauen. Aber alles recht sauber und vor allem ruhig. 😉😉 ##### Mario L. Jun 12, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Tolles Haus für entspannte Ferien Schöne, ruhige Hanglage mit tollem Blick ins Tal und auf die Berge. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermärkte) wenige Kilometer entfernt in Zrece fanden wir ausgezeichnet ebenso das Restaurant in Gorenje (3km). Das Haus ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet viel Platz auch für 4 Erwachsene (einzige Einschränkung: nur 1 Bad). In der Küche findet man alles, was man benötigt inklusive einiger Gewürze und einem guten Messerblock. Der Vermieter war super freundlich und stets erreichbar. Wir haben den Aufenthalt trotz eher schlechtem Wetter sehr genossen! Gerne wieder! ##### Bettina H. Wir waren mit Familie und unserem Hund und wollten die 4 Tage einfach nur entspannen. Dazu ist dieses Apartment genial. Alles da, sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Tolle Lage in wirklich schöner Umgebung. Wenn man die urbane Nähe braucht, ist es etwas ab vom Schuss. Uns hat es sehr gefallen hier. ##### Andreas M.
