« Steve and Claire are amazing, it was a pleasure staying at The Clifton for 2 nights, perfect location to the pier, seafront, pubs and bars. Rooms very clean and tidy, everything you need. Breakfast was brilliant, very accommodating with food choice changes. Cost was more than reasonable and the far better than expected for the price. Comfy beds, quiet area and we slept brilliantly. Ours hosts were so friendly and provided a welcoming atmosphere, we have family in Paignton and will 100 percent...

« Lovely guesthouse that has been updated but still has kept its beautiful character. The owners Carl & Tace were so friendly from the get-go and we really liked our room, especially the bed itself, how clean it was and the location. You’re really close to the centre, sea and a nice little park/gardens opposite. Carl & Tace kindly let me keep my wheelchair in the hallway too which really saved us having to keep putting it back in the car when going out. We also really appreciate that we were...

Following day Ibis was supposed to provide breakfast but when we went down tables hadn't been cleared and there was little food. We were told there was a problem with the kitchen and we had to go next door again to the Mercure. That night we went to the bar and it was covered in dirty glasses and the girl behind the bar was barely coping. They seem to have a shortage of staff or at the very least...

« 2nd visit here so was slightly disappointed with the room this time as the bathroom was tiny and the shower was so small and had a high step to get in it i was unable to use it due to issues with one of my legs so had to strip wash for 3 days and just put my head in when washing hair. »

« The advert on the hotels.com website did not match the facts of the stay. The advert states free parking it was not it cost me £30 for the stay. We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain. »
