The decor was very tasteful and had a cottage feel. Given the age of the building and its uneven floors, the decor and welcoming atmosphere made is very inviting and comfortable. Coffee, tea and local information were among the welcoming features. We wished the building had a direct view of the water although it was just steps away. The upstairs bed was creaky and my 80 year old husband missed having a comfortable chair with a high back and footrest. Three kids aged 11-16 and our dog. We had a wonderful time! The home is in a perfect location, especially if you are doing lots of day trips. We did Buffalo, Six Flags Darien Lake, Toronto, and several trips to Niagara in NY and Canada. Devil's Hole park is beautiful but those stairs are no joke on the legs! Fort Niagara State Park right next door was perfect for long walks with the dog in the early morning and evening. The home was clean, well stocked, and had a cozy charm that made it feel familiar. The kids all had space to lounge around and play video games and watch tv when we weren't adventuring. Sandy was lovely to work with and her suggestions for food, ice cream and local activities were perfect. House is exactly as described and is a great value for the price. You can see the lake from the front door and there is a bench close by to sit down and enjoy the view. Everything about the property fit well for us, spending most of the day on the water and evenings at the house. The walk to the beach was a perfect relaxing and easy place to explore for our kids and the space easily accommodated us. Beds are super comfortable. Furniture in the living room area is very cozy (more chairs and a rug have been added since the listing photos) for relaxing and watching tv. It's an older home but well kept and very, very clean. Owner Sandy was great with communication and offering helpful suggestions of local restaurants and activities. ##### Lesley H.
