Perfect location to explore York. Staff were lovely and very accommodating! The rooms are beautifully decorated and have everything you need. Would definitely stay here if we were to go to York again!

This was the ideal room for a family city break. The staff were friendly and accommodating and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre, so we didn’t need to use the car at all for the duration of our stay.

The Burton Stone Inn was super clean and a very cute property! The outside terraces were well set up and our room was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive when any issues came up! Bathroom was renovated and the shower was awesome! Very convenient location for sight seeing and places to eat! Would Definitely stay again! Thanks to Michael and staff!

Would definitely stay here again

Lovely stay in this Inn. Very nice owners and we liked the location -- just a short walk to downtown or the train station. We did not take the breakfast, but it looked very good. The only consideration is if you have limited mobility and get the room we had on the top floor, there is no lift or elevator. Otherwise, we recommend this Inn for it's location, owners, and value.

Michael and his wife were the perfect hosts providing a lovely accommodation. We stayed in room 11 which was beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and with all ammenities. The dining and bar areas were great and very clean. As room 11 in on the ground floor and street side you will get traffic noise throughout the night but otherwise very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh and plenty of variety. Parking was convenient and location to the old town excellent. Also plenty of eating options nearby.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and flexible. The Inn is ideally located for York, just a ten minute walk in. I would highly recommend staying here and should I be lucky enough to return to York, this is where I would book again.

A really charming old inn. We've had a lovely time here, the staff was so kind and helpfull. The room was comfy and lovely. The inn is close to the city center, we did everything by foot. We would definitely come back again. :)

Very beautifully decorated room and very friendly host. Short walk to directly to the city centre and nice shops, cafes, etc. along the way. There is a bit of traffic and noise from the road, but I slept very well, and would ask for a room on the garden side if there's a need for more quiet. Would stay there again and recommend.

Lovely well appointed room. Very friendly staff. Cleaned nicy every day. Stayed for 5nts. Did not use the bar or have the breakfast. Plenty of parking even for our oversized rental multi van. Slight issue with the toilet flush, but was rectified. Approx 15 min walk into central York. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Room was quiet, bed was v comfortable. We stayed in room 10 - a family room. Very spacious.
