Golf is available locally, while racing enthusiasts can enjoy exciting days out at York (12 miles), Thirsk (14 miles) and Ripon (32 miles) racecourses which are all easily reached.

From the moment you step into this beautiful barn conversion, everything unfolds seamlessly, all on one level, making it a wonderfully comfortable and welcoming retreat. You’re greeted by a bright, open-plan living space where the sitting area invites you to relax with a Smart TV, DVD and CD player, or curl up beside the cosy wood-burner after a day exploring North Yorkshire. The dining area flows naturally into the kitchen, which is well-equipped for the chef of the party to cook up a storm. When it’s time to unwind, the cottage offers two beautifully presented bedrooms: a spacious king-size room with its own en-suite shower room, and a second bedroom with twin beds, complemented by a modern bathroom. Underfloor heating runs throughout, and every detail has been thoughtfully taken care of so you can simply arrive, settle in and start enjoying your stay.

Step outside and the sense of escape really comes into its own, with far-reaching views across open farmland that stretch to the horizon and create a wonderfully peaceful backdrop to your stay. From the patio, complete with garden furniture and a gas barbecue, you can sit back and soak up the scenery, watching deer wander through the fields, birds of prey circling overhead, and the farm animals grazing nearby, a constant reminder that you’re truly in the countryside. There’s a secure bike store for those keen to explore the local lanes and trails, along with private parking for two cars, making days out effortless. There are lakes within the grounds, adding to the natural beauty of the setting. Please be mindful of young children and pets when around the lakes.
