Fabulous ocean front view with a patio and access to walking trails
We have stayed at the higher priced hotel next door in the past, and this one is equally nice for less money.
We were delighted with our stay at the Fireside. Loved sitting on our couch facing the ocean, listening to surf crashing during the night, and being close to the 804 trail for a nice walk along the beach. Our room was clean and spacious, and we were even able to pick out a free movie in the lobby to watch.
Our room faced the ocean which made it special. Comfortable and clean, we have no complaints except that steps to the beach were closed.we trespassed on another property to get there, breakfast room was very small so you might have to wait for seating. Over all, the staff were exceptionally friendly.
Breakfast was nothing special. Cheerios, milk, juice and waffles to toast.
We truly enjoyed our stay, the room was clean, the staff (Mathew) was friendly, and the view from our room was picture perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer.
This motel was wonderful! We had a view of the ocean through a large picture window, and a beautiful trail to walk next to the ocean and its crashing waves over the rocks. My only critique is that dogs are allowed, and on our last night there were two snarling barking dogs next to us who disrupted our night of peace.
This is an older property, but these owners are trying hard. The lobby offered a quaint shopping experience and had a water bottle refill station. In addition, the room had up-to-date amenities and a redone bathroom. Out the back door is the 804 Trail, which provided an excellent walking path along the top of the Beach cliffs.
Property was very nice, loved the trail with in walking distance and the views were beautiful. The little shop was also very nice and we enjoyed the complimentary dvds.
The Fireside Motel is a fantastic place to stay on the Oregon Coast, right in Yachats. I've stayed there many times over the years and was delighted to return.
The Fireside has plenty of features, from the Village gift shop to picnic tables and horseshoes to coastal forest. Most importantly, a path known as the 804 runs right past the motel, stretching about 1.5 miles from the Salmon street beach along the rocks with access to sandy beaches, rocks, and tide pools at low tide and plenty of benches to sit and watch the sea.
The rooms are spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds, large windows, and a complete, fully equipped little kitchen, which is a huge plus if you're spending a few days as we were.
They also welcome pets, providing bags to pick up and even dog treats at the desk!
The staff is exceedingly helpful. Their hospitality extends to others who walk past offering free coffee and restrooms.
Truly amazing stay. Thanks.
