Mill Barn sits amidst the gorgeous Northumberland Countryside within the heart of the welcoming village of Milfield. The property is immaculately presented throughout with much thought, care, and attention to detail. Step into the inviting living area, open plan with arched patio doors leading you into the idyllic gardens. Extremely spacious, this property is great for entertaining and cooking up meals for the whole family to enjoy indoors or outdoors! There is a second spacious lounge area ideal for a bit of relaxation with views over the pretty manicured gardens. A curved staircase brings you onto a bright open landing area, the perfect quiet hideaway to enjoy a spot of afternoon reading. The master bedroom is a large king-size room with an en-suite and a walk-in shower room. The second bedroom is another king-size with good storage and a dressing area. The spacious main bathroom has a large corner bath perfect for relaxing as well as a walk-in shower cubicle and ’his and hers’ sinks. Externally this old barn offers you grounds to the front and rear of the property presenting a truly tranquil experience, perfect for your al-fresco dining and catching the summer sun, the large pergola dining area is perfect for dining out on evenings. The grounds are immaculately manicured with carefully planted bushes and flowers, pretty water features, and cosy seating areas to take advantage of at this charming stone holiday cottage with something to offer for all age groups. Mill Barn is only 0.6 miles from a friendly pub in Milfield which also boasts a super café and local shop; Wooler is only under six miles away, with plenty of bespoke local shops and services. The gliding club in Milfield offers a chance to experience gliding with a qualified instructor. St Cuthbert’s Way walking route and the Pennine Way National Cycle Route 68 are both close by. There are sea and river trips from Berwick harbour and to the Farne Islands from Seahouses. Don’t miss the castles of Alnwick, Bamburgh, and the dramatic, ruined Dunstanburgh, or wonderful sandy beaches, the closest being Goswick where there is also a fine links golf course. Take the train to Edinburgh or Newcastle, under an hour either way, from the walled border town of Berwick-on-Tweed, 15 miles, for a fun day in the city.
