Tents are spacious, clean, and nicely furnished with modern amenities. Food at the restaurant is delicious. The reception area is cozy with a fireplace, books, and games, and the building that houses the reception and restaurant is beautiful. The activities near the lake are fun. The location is beautiful and peaceful, in the middle of the forest. An excellent place to stargaze. Staff is very friendly. This was my family’s second stay here, and it is truly one of my favorite places.

Friendly reception, gorgeous accommodations, tasty food, divine views!!! This place is a hidden gem! Staff was amazing, food was great. We surprised our young adult kids on a little side trip from Scottsdale, and stayed a night at Backland. Absolutely amazing! Carly and Chase are incredible, down to earth and so welcoming! Backlands is an amazing place to disconnect yourself from the everyday. Backlands vacation

It was awesome, very quite and relaxing. Staff was very nice and always attentive. Had fires going outside at night, smores at the ready. I would bring snacks next time since getting to a town is harder/longer on the forest dirt roads. But overall a great experience.
