Nowadays, small shops, bars, restaurants & hotels have found their home in Pietermaai District. Together they create a lively, cosy and safe part of Curaçao. Not all neglected monuments are restored yet, but that is what gives Pietermaai that exceptional vivid and raw edge. In short, the right location for people looking for something really different. However, the checkin process was a disaster. The employee stated she was new to the position. It appeared to us that she had no training whatsoever. Realize its hard to get good help especially for night time hours but everything about the check in was stressful. Not a great way to start a vacay. ##### Jean H.
