Convenient to wedding venue! Experience country living on a working horse farm! Our peaceful home sits on a property with approximately 10 horses and the genuine sights and sounds of farm life. Guests will enjoy spacious indoor living and abundant outdoor space in a true rural setting, just minutes from I 83, local hiking trails, and scenic parks. Whether you’re coming to relax on the porch with a morning coffee, visit the horses, or explore nearby state parks and trails, you’ll enjoy an authentic country experience! Please note the surrounding fields are privately owned and used for Horse pasture only. Electrical transmission towers are located within the pasture fields and are visible from parts of the property. This is a working farm environment and part of the rural landscape. A hidden gem surrounded by a wooded private park in an equestrian atmosphere. We are located near several wedding venues with Pond View Farm being less than 5 minutes away! Located on a peaceful horse farm in the middle of a beautiful private conservation park. We have lots of trails for hiking that leads to a creek for fishing and swimming just a short hike on the property. Guests are welcome to visit the horses and chickens on the property! Enjoy the fire pit and chairs for relaxing around the camp fire. We provide some ingredients for making the perfect s’mores! This is a quiet place to enjoy nature and reconnect with family and friends. Don’t forget to bring your own fire wood or feel free to find your own in the surrounding woods on the property. We are ten minutes from royal farms, grocery’s and restaurants. You can hear the guests in the other unit, but the beds are comfortable and the apartment was clean. We appreciated the Christmas tree! There are extra towels and blankets. The surroundings are beautifully rural and quiet. However, the paper thin walls separating the two apartments make it not so quiet inside. The master bedroom is excellent - quiet and comfortable. The second bedroom is quiet but has an old mattress with depressions that make it unsleepable. The third bedroom with twin beds is comfortable, but it abuts the adjoining apartment, so you can hear snoring through the wall. The kitchen is minimally adequate. There are errors in the listing. There is no dishwasher and no iron/ironing board. It was difficult to use a computer in the apartment because the only table was in the dining area and it has no electric outlet near it. I ended up putting my computer on the coffee table, but that was very low and made the computer awkward to use sitting on the sofa. One night was cold and I put the heat on. Thermostat was easy to adjust, but did not allow any temperature above 70 degrees for the heat. Hosts communicate well. Entry was easy. Be aware the that if you click the address in the online posting, it will map you to the wrong address. The address in the posting says be thing, but it will map to the wrong place. The host addressed this in their messages but not clear for me catch what was happening. Not a big deal, was only a 15 minute detour. Overall this was a nice stay. There are a few minor things about the apartment that need fixed and would have elevated my score… master bedroom door doesn’t latch, closet door missing, sink sprayer is not attached to anything, and bathroom amenities (shampoo, soap, etc) could have been more generous. Also, we arrived at night and the porch was dark making for a clumsy entry. Truly these are minor things, and we overall had a great stay. This is a very rural location. I would recommend an additional outside light (there is a motion light, but it doesn't come on until you are right upon it). Also, hooks for towels would be great! I had to keep pushing it away in the master; a curved shower rod would resolve that. Vertical hooks in the master would allow a 2nd towel to be hung up and night clothes. The beds were ok but very bouncy and loud. Everytime my partner or I rolled over, I woke up so that was a bummer. Lastly as a woman, 1 ply toilet paper is a bummer.
