That is the number one thing we came for, and we got that, here. Just a short distance from town, main highway and all, but sitting outside of this cottage, all one hears is.... Nature. Love it!This place was very charming with a lot of character. It's a very old house at its core - 1890's ish, I think. And with that, you are going to have old-house traits: Creaky, uneven floors, low ceilings (I'm 6'1", and had to be just a little careful in some doorways. Never had to duck, tho!).... No worries, there are newer floors, newer carpet, newer paint. The heater works great! The kitchen is fully equipped. Good wifi, and it reaches outside. It does have the quirks of an old house, as mentioned in the listing/reviews, the floors are a bit slanted and some of the ceilings a bit low, but neither of those things detracted from our enjoyment of the house. The kitchen, living room and bathroom are spacious and open. Kitchen windows offered a nice view, and the couch was super comfortable. If you’ve stayed at a house with a bad couch you’ll know it matters! Host provided basic necessities as specified, and we had no issues. A short drive to Colton Point to see the Grand Canyon of PA.
