Waterfront Cabin Walkable to Everything!
Our rustic cabin is nestled in the town of Waterville within walking distance to everything the town has to offer. The cabin is bordered by the stocked trout waters of the Little Pine Creek in the back and the beautiful Pine Creek Rail Trail on the side. Views of both the creek and the rail trail bridge are enjoyed from the back deck. We provide propane, a gas grill, a gas Blackstone griddle, and a stocked pile of firewood to enjoy the fire pit in the backyard. 6 Adirondack chairs are available for use on the deck, around the fire, or sitting by (or in!) the creek.
Please see photos for sleeping arrangements -- bed heights may not be suitable for everyone. If you have any questions please reach out!
Fishing, kayaking, and tubing can be enjoyed on the Little Pine, or you may take the short walk down the street and use the public easement to access the Pine Creek.
Walking from the cabin you can easily get to the Historic Waterville Hotel, McConnells General Store and the beautiful Waterville community park.
Little Pine State Park and the Haneyville ATV Trails are both just a short drive from Waterville, as well as the numerous access points along the Pine Creek for fishing, kayaking & tubing.
This cabin is rustic in feel however it does have running water as well as a full bathroom. We also provide reliable high speed internet and a streaming TV complete with a Youtube TV subscription in the living room. You will also enjoy the peace of mind provided by our automatic whole-house generator for any power outages.
The location of the cabin is also great for attending Penn State home games if you're looking for an affordable stay outside of state college. Beaver Stadium is 55 miles away and easily accessed by Route 220/I-80. We are happy to help with any Penn State questions regarding tickets, parking, tailgating etc!
Cell phone service varies depending on carrier and is very spotty. The convenient location of the property also means that it is close to Route 44, so if vehicle noise is a problem for you please be aware of that.
Security cameras are located outside the house due to the remote nature of the location. They will not be monitored unless there is an issue.
The cabin includes Alexa-enabled devices for guest convenience (music, weather, etc.). These are not monitored by the host and are not used for surveillance. They only respond when activated by voice. You’re welcome to unplug or mute them at any time if you prefer.

What a great location! Right along the bike trail..right beside the Waterville hotel. The view of the little pine.. could not be beat! I do think it would be helpful to have a mirror in the bedrooms.. maybe a few hooks to hang up clothes. The one bedroom has bunks over head with drawer underneath but for adults it’s little cumbersome to get underneath. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room with the view is really the best part of this cabin. the fire pit area looked great. We didn’t get to use it but hopefully next time. We will definitely rent this again!
If you’re looking for a cabin close to everything, this is your stay. You can easily walk to the Waterville Hotel right out of the door, and the country store is right by the property too! We stayed with our 4 year old son, and the convenience of having the rail trail and the beautiful park in the back was wonderful! The cabin was cozy, and we loved the comfy couches, and watching the stream from the living room. Our son also enjoyed the games and legos. The bedrooms are small, so if you’re going with a group, keep that in mind. Also, some lamps would be nice in the bedrooms instead of the overhead bright lights later at night, and maybe some hooks in the bigger bedroom to help offset not having a closet, but other than that, the property was great for us.
We loved our stay. The cabin has a great mix of old charm with updated amenities. It is nestled right by the rail trail along the river. Our kids particularly loved the deck space that was gated in as well as the bunk beds. We truly enjoyed the slow pace that Waterville, PA provides. We spent time biking the rail trail, wading in the river, and enjoyed countless hours as the community park. If you have kids, this park has everything they are looking for–from swings to slides to even a zip line! The waterville hotel has great food and the general store was perfect for any last minute needs. This cabin gives you the solitude of being out in the woods of PA but still close enough to drive out to experience other towns and attractions-The Grand Canyon of PA, Clyde Peeling's Reptiland, Little Pine State Park and more. We will miss the rail trail, the park, the views and hearing the river right from the living room. Thank you for our stay. Hoping to be back some day.
Very comfortable cabin. Nice view of the river. Has everything that we needed for our stay . The parking spot and first sighting of the cabin is the only weakness. Once inside, that quickly fades.
The cabin is comfortable with lots of upgrades. The kitchen is completely outfitted and makes meal prep very easy. The bathroom was very modern and the shower with two options was very relaxing at the end of the day. And the beds were very comfortable for a good night's sleep. The location is in easy walking distance to the Rail Trail, the community park, the general store and the Waterville Hotel for a great dinner.
Everything was seamless. Owners were responsive to my emails, and provided everything I needed before I arrived. Walked into a place that was all set and ready for us. Fantastic location, friendly people, nothing in the world like the Pine Creek gorge. Thank you for having us!
This was a last minute, few day getaway with our teens before the school year gets off and running. It was perfect… starting with easy and prompt initial communication to all of the very thoughtful and intentional amenities provided! The location was wonderfully remote and private with the convenience of the general store for items forgotten, lunch and ice cream. Being so near the rail trail and good fishing in the Big Pine creek provided something for all of us. Thank you and we hope to return!
Fantastic location right on the trail and the water. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nicely appointed, and the kitchen was well-furnished. The reclining lounge chairs were just what we needed after biking in The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. We'd certainly stay here again!
This property is nestled in a beautiful spot in PA - a little-known but very nice location. It was a perfect mix of secluded/quiet and close to ammenities like the Waterville Hotel and Restaurant, McConnell's Country Store, a beautiful town park, and a few options of golf courses and other things to do. We really enjoyed the scenery, the river flowing behind the place, and the proximity to the state park which offered wonderful views, wildlife, fishing, and walking. Overall, this place was perfect for our purposes of a chill weekend at a cottage, and I highly recommend!
Our stay here was superb! To begin with Jason was an amazing host. He answered all of our questions so promptly and cheerfully. In fact he was our tour guide as well!! He had lots of information on fishing, dining, biking and must see places. The cabin was very clean, well furnished, comfortable and quiet. Right on the river and next to the trail it was a paradise for my wife and I. We love to bike and was able to cover most of the trail. And to top it off you can walk to some great soft service ice cream!! We would recommend this host and this cabin to everyone!!
It was clean and well stocked. Beds were not very comfy but overall we had a nice time. Check in was very easy. Creek is 30 feet away was nice for fishing.
