Upper Long is a great fishing lake with many species of fish including Muskie, Bluegill, Bass and Crappie. Take a swim in the crystal clear water out to the swim raft, entertain in the large yard or sit around the campfire at night and tell stories. The cabin is equipped with 2 bedrooms plus pull out couch that sleeps a total of 5 comfortably plus a bathroom, open kitchen and living room with amazing views of the lake. The neighborhood is very quiet and private. Within a couple miles there is a gas station & bait, a dollar general, carryout pizza place and ice cream stand. Chain-O-Lakes state park is only a 5min drive from the cottage. Fort Wayne, IN is approximately 35 min drive. Columbia City, IN is approximately 25 min drive. Kendallville, IN is approximately 25 min drive. It was HOT but thankfully the air worked great in the cottage. We took refuge in the lake every day. It would be great to provide a rake so swimming at the waters' edge could be more enjoyable (I'm wimpy) but we made do with some pool floats:) It was awesome just listening to the sounds of nature! We fished every day too but didn't catch much. Ryan let us park our fishing boat trailer at his workplace, very close by. The cottage has a Roku w/ Netflix - great for a rainy night.
