Cozy Historic WashMo home

This historic home is located in downtown Washington, MO and is within walking distance to the riverfront and all the wonderful restaurants, bars, and activities downtown Washington has to offer.

The home has modern updated amenities while still keeping its historic charm in the little details.

The bedrooms all have comfortable mattresses with soft sheets. The large living room is cozy and has a large smart TV with Roku perfect to relax in after a fun day in Washington and the surrounding areas. The dining room can seat 8 and is the perfect place to enjoy meals with others.

The updated bathroom has a lovely walk in shower with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The kitchen is equipped with all the amenities you might need to cook during your stay. It also offers 3 different varieties of coffee, sugar, and creamers for the perfect cup of coffee in the morning.

Hosts were great, helpful and responsive. The Home is amazingly historic and so certainly has its limits, but it should not mean it cannot be warm and comfortable with decor and furnishings. There is no HVAC upstairs so space heaters were fussy to maintain and keep on with timers, etc. There is only two lamps in the home, so all rooms rely on ceiling fan lights - which are effective but do not allow a more relaxed evening or early morning atmosphere. Again, very cool house but just think it could be more comfortable.

Being just a couple of blocks from Main Street was lovely. I was disappointed that there was no bathtub, but the bathroom was beautiful. The things I disliked most were having to go down the stairs to the bathroom from the bedrooms, and not having a reading lamp (no outlet near the bed) in my bedroom.

Weekend away

Husband and I needed a weekend away from the kids and this home made it wonderful! We arrived after dark and made our way into the home with no problems. The only issue we had was finding the light switches in the dark lol but then all was well. Everything was simple and clean. Had plenty of towels and linens. The home warmed up quick to the temps we desired. Water pressure was great and shower was lovely. Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of coffee pods to choose from. We went out to eat for all of our meals and they were very close and delicious! Only reason we didnt walk was because the roads and sidewalks were packed with snow and it was 20 out! I think that covers it all! We enjoyed our stay so uch, we plan to return with friends!

We attened a New Years Party in Wahington and did not want to drive home afterwards. The location was 5 blocks from the party and met our needs perfectly.

False Advertising not pet friendly

Worst experience. Had to get a last minute hotel room on our christmas vacation. Not pet friendly. No place provided for pets to relieve themselves. No yard. Dogs bowls kept outside in below freezing temps to eat out of. No bedding provided for my service dog just laminate flooring as pets are not allowed on furniture and no carpet. It was 25* outside. No heat upstairs in bedrooms. Host provided space heaters to heat two of the rooms. Host knew I was traveling with my child with special needs and our service dog. No mention in listing that dangerous space heaters would need to be used. Upon arriving we could not unload car because of over turned trash cans and trash in driveway. Host was shown photos and said it wasn't theirs. Had to clean it myself. Host did not have the code for the door set even though I messaged 20 mins before arriving. Standing in 25* with dog and child not able to get in. Over 30 mins before host finally over rode the system and just unlocked the door. Contacted host to ask about heat and other issues host did not respond in a timely manner. Finally contacted vrbo. Spent 9 hours on hold and talking with vrbo representatives while at a family members house until I could get a hotel room. Vrbo refunded my service fee but host refused to refund my fee or provide us with a livable experience. Ruined our Christmas and caused much stress to my child with special needs. This host should not be able to host until house is properly listed. Beware!

Great Location!

Was a lovely stay for our Bridal Party, in downtown Washington, with plenty of beds for 4-6. Nicely decorated, plenty of parking, clean & comfortable. Owner was easy to communicate with & answered quickly. Bridal party enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants & bars near by .

Great spot...close to everything!

We used this location as a quick getaway while the kiddos were in summer camp. The house is an older house that's been renovated to feel modern...the best of both worlds, we thought! We could walk to just about everything easily and it made a great home base to explore the area...we'll be back!

*** LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION *** This is the best in downtown Washington. The place is close to everything. The house is modern, clean, spacious and the hosts are fantastic to deal with. They're so flexible, so easy to deal with and very quick to reply. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Our family visit

We absolutely loved our stay in Missouri, and we know it had a lot to do with our beautiful place to stay,and the Hosts who made everything run smooth for us! From the very beginning communication, and booking, it couldn’t have been easier and stress free! They made the process very easy! Then walking into the beautiful home! It was very clean , and the little extras they did, did not go unnoticed. I can go on and on about it and them lol! But , let’s just say, we would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Missouri! Thank you for a great experience
