It is old world and wonderful! Walking into the room was like walking back in time. The colors, the fabrics, the furniture, and the bathroom were from another era. The beds were very cozy and comfortable. The view from our window was breathtaking. It was hard to pull ourselves away from looking out over the amazing mountains and valley below. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the large dining room. They offer a very large choice of delicious foods at the dinner buffet and at breakfast. It is an old hotel but very clean. Service is great. Breakfast buffet is great. Dinner buffet not as good and very expensive. Many busses come to Stalheim, some just for a "view stop" and others over night - but it is often very crowded, especially at meals. We were given the rooms facing the mountain but we only stayed there for one night. Should have stayed longer. Good breakfast and dinner. Room was cosy and give you a nostalgic feeling.
