She checked in with us every day, cooked us breakfast, help us find a taxi when we needed it, and even played a couple of card games with us. We just felt like we were at home. She is just the nicest sweetest person. I will highly recommend this place just because of Janeth, if nothing else. But the place was outstanding too. Such a beautiful location so nice! It’s just a short walk up the beach to the Zanzabella Hotel that had an excellent restaurant where we saw Masai dancers one evening. We found a boat captain right on the beach in front of the Villa Noah, who took us out for a great African sail boat ride and some snorkeling. In fact, everyone we met on the beach where the friendliest people on earth. What a great place! The house is right on the beach, the rooms spartan yet perfectly clean and comfortable. The grand rooftop patio/enclave was a perfect place to relax, read, and watch the water. However, the best part of staying at this property was getting to know our host, and feeling so well taken care of by the staff. We asked to have a few meals cooked for us and we are so glad we did! The food was delicious and we got a taste of real Zanzibari cuisine. If you’re looking to have a more local experience, engage in the culture and meet wonderful Zanzibari people instead of sequestering in one of the many overpriced resort bubbles, this is the place for you.
