Within easy reach of Porto airport, 90 kms away. A place to get away from it all and completely unwind. Be as lazy or as active as you like. Ideal for those who love the countryside, authentic areas and the great outdoors. Hills and forests on your doorstep. 20 minutes to the scenic river Minho on the border with Spain. 25 minutes to beautiful blue-flag, white-sand beaches. Large secluded garden on terraces with pool, barbecue area and magnificent views of the valley and surrounding hills. Sleeps 9, ideal for families and groups. Spacious and fully-equipped open-plan kitchen/living room. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Central-heating in all rooms, plus two log fireplaces. Table football and games in the adega (old winery) where there is also a bar and extra dishwasher. This games room leads out onto the barbecue area with a large outside dining table under the olive tree, with views across the valley to the mountains. Large selection of books in English. The salt water pool is fenced in with lockable gates, and this also has panoramic views. There are lots of nice walks in the area, straight out of the house. And there's much to explore in the area, from beaches, rivers and mountains, to old villages, farmer markets and restaurants. As day trips, Porto, Peneda-Gerês National Park and Galicia in Spain are all good ideas. We're officially registered for tourism as an Alojamento Local. We've been doing holiday rentals here since 2008 and we've had lots of happy guests. The house is really comfortable and well-equipped, with lots of different places to sit and eat outside or enjoy the wonderful view. We much appreciated the many small extra touches which made us feel at home, including fresh bread and breakfast things waiting on arrival, books, games and beach towels. (The big pile of Asterix books and the National Geographic were much enjoyed in our group.) The area is really beautiful and unspoilt, with lovely beaches about 45 minutes drive away and plenty to explore closer to home including rivers and waterfalls to swim in. It was very hot when we were there but we would love to come back when cooler to do some longer walks. The Villa is in a beautiful location on a hillside overlooking a valley, if you are seeking seclusion, peace and quiet and out of the rat race, this is for you. A very well appointed Villa, well equipped a lovely pool and garden area that the kids really enjoyed and is ideal for barbecues. The views are spectatular and eating our evening meal on the terrace looking down over the valley was a real highlight of the day. The pool is large and carefully fenced in. The children had many happy hours there. Northern Portugal is a great place to be and Adria was always on hand if we needed her, as a good host. Many thanks. We are the 5th to review and we second all that was said before. We have spent a week during August 2011: two families with a total of 4 adults and 4 kids; 6,7 and 8 years old. House was plenty big and comfortable for our group. We are lucky enough to spend over 12 weeks every year on vacation in Europe and the US, always renting houses for our family. This is definitely one of those properties that as you walk in you immediately realize the photos and description on the internet DO NOT do it justice - it is MUCH better. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und bietet gerade für größere Gruppen viele Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Die Terasse lässt sich super gut nutzen für gemeinsame Mahlzeiten. Der Pool war angenehm groß und das Salzwasser im Pool hat wirklich wenig gestört. Dafür gibt es auch direkt am Pool ein kleines Poolhaus mit Dusche und WC. Auto unbedingt notwendig. Schöner Pool, aber leider sind die Sonnenliegen kaputt und müssen unbedingt ausgetauscht werden. Sonst recht gute Ausstattung. Met ons gezin en de familie (7) hebben we genoten van een heerlijke week in dit fantastische huis. Het is stijlvol en compleet ingericht, je grijpt nergens op mis. De omgeving is landelijk en rustig. Je hebt een mooi uitzicht over de valei en in het zwembad is het goed vertoeven. Bij aankomst waren er verse broodjes, melk en zelfs een flesje wijn. We hebben ons erg welkom gevoeld. De gastvrijheid van Adria en haar coöperatie en flexibiliteit zijn ons erg goed bevallen. Echt een paradijs in Noord Portugal op een uurtje rijden van Porto! ##### Graça K. A casa é muito espaçosa e equipada com tudo o que é necessário e os locais no exterior muito bonitos. A piscina é muito boa e as vistas são fantásticas.
