We were traveling with our handicapped son to visit my 99 year old mother. So we did not have time to use the various resort facilities. The Turtle Reef Club was far better for us as we could be together (two bedrooms) and be able to go grocery shopping to have breakfast in the apartment/unit.

We were very much looking forward to staying at the Turtle Reef Club in Jensen Beach, FL, yet, were very disappointed with our stay. If we had to rate just the beach, we give it a five—a beautiful beach! We also give it a five for closeness and accessibility to the beach. But, our lodging experience was a different matter. When we arrived we noticed bedbug stains in the bed sheets on two of our beds. We're pretty certain that these were bedbug stains, so we told the front desk receptionist, who told us she would inform management. We told her that we had inspected the mattresse seams and didn’t see evidence of actual bedbugs, so we would be ok staying in this unit if they could just give us new clean sheets. They just left a new set of rolled up sheets for us to make our own beds. We later realized we made a mistake not asking to switch units as my wife, one daughter and I ended up with bedbug bites all over our legs (we have clear photos). Then, one evening we came back around 11:00pm and got stuck in the elevator. We pressed the elevator emergency button and the operator said she would contact the “elevator technician on call”. We ended up calling 911 after spending approximately 30 minutes stuck in the elevator sweating in very hot temperature, with poor circulation for breathing, and with one of our daughters having a panic attack. The firemen had to force the elevator door open and help us down from being stuck in between two floors. When I asked one fireman if they had

The property had way more than we expected. I just looking for a place to spend a few days with the family in the beach but the resort had so much more. Pool, shuffle board, crafts and scavenger hunt for the kids, plus the beautiful beach on one side and the river on the other. The unit was clean, comfortable and well equipped with a very large rear balcony overlooking the beach. Magnificent views from both front and rear balcony.

I called weeks ago to extend my stay another night was told no problem. Well when I arrived I was told that they had a note in the system to extend my stay by 1 night but it was never entered into the system and they are sold out. Not very happy about that.

We came here for a little vacay and was amazing! Front desk at the check in was friendly and very helpful. We have a unit wit a full ocean view. The apartment was fully equipped, the master bedroom bed was OUTSTANDING. We had Aldi's at 9min drive, the beach was beautiful and clean. We're not friends to the pool, so we didn't visit. We also love to see a lot of little rabbits in the green area

Excellent property and amenities. The only thing is no front desk after 6pm. So we had to use a lockbox for our check in. We ended up getting locked out of our room and had to call emergency number to have someone come out and rescue us that took about half an hour. All staff were friendly and pool and beach access were good. If you get places on the first floor you won’t be able to see the ocean.

Beach getaway

Location and beach are lovely. This is an older building and the rooms are not completely updated, especially the furniture. Could really use some sprucing up. That being said, the unit was clean, and the staff were very accommodating. It was a very enjoyable trip.
