A great choice in Vang Vieng. The shipping container rooms are novel, comfortable, clean and cool. (I think Mr Kong is a bit of a genius.) Good AC, comfortable beds, nice showers, OK breakfast (but you'll need to grab a decent coffee nearby at Kiwi, or a 10 minute walk to wonderful Naked). The location is great. Across the river from the noisier main drag but there's a walking bridge next to the hotel. It's quiet at night. There are 3 very good restaurants nearby- the pizza place, Kiwi and Tulip. The Kong family is wonderful- hard working and honorable. We had a misunderstanding and they took the high road to make it right for their guests. A bit of a bargain imho. The property is unique and relaxing with a nice pool and great breakfast to start the day. We stayed in two of the rooms. The first was a huge three bedroom house with an amazing view of the mountains from the top bedroom. For the last night we moved to the smaller one bedroom container which was also comfortable and clean with a small deck for relaxing in the evening. The resort is well created considering that the rooms are made out of modified shipping containers. However it is a great idea and we was feeling quite comfortable. The location is slightly out of town wgich is good if you want somewhere you cannot hear the karaoke bars. There was no sound proofing so hope for quiet neighbours. The bar is nice but the lack of food served meant we used it only at breakfast time.
