Be warned that they do not have an elevator so maybe not the best place to stay if you have a lot of luggage. Service was fantastic, and the included breakfast was lovely. Walking distance to everything. Also, they had a coin washing machine and dryer which was incredibly handy. The staff is very friendly, and the hotel does provide limited free access to the bus to get around the area. I also liked there was access to a washer and dryer which you only had to get 12 CHF in coins to do a load. The only thing I didn’t care for was no elevator and no AC. They provide a small fan in the room but it wasn’t the strongest. I also happened to be there when it got hot and staying in the room was barely tolerable even with the fan on and the balcony door open. The balcony did provide a great view of the mountains. If you’re looking for something affordable and within walking distance of the train station, and you can tolerate the no elevator/no AC, then yes, consider this place. No elevators ( good rooms are at the higher floor). As I recall, total number of floors were 3\. 2\. The hotel is very close to useful bus stops as well as one of the main train stations. The buffet style breakfast was good with eggs made to order. The only downside was our shower head kept sliding down. When mentioned to the staff, they said they wouldn't be able to get a plumber out on the weekend. Small/less than stellar showers are quite normal in Europe, so it wasn't a deal-breaker by any means.
