Relax and unwind at this tranquil & unique rustic lakefront getaway with spectacular sunsets! Pets are not allowed. The Cardinal Cottage at The Pier sleeps 5 people and is one of five cottages located at the foot of Canadohta Lake. Canadohta Lake is Pennsylvania's second-largest natural lake, with nearly three miles of shoreline. Activities include fishing, birdwatching, minigolf, roller rink, miniature golf, parks, swimming, pontoon boats/ kayaks, and paddle boards. The Pier is great for a family vacation or a work/play destination. It has use of the 100 feet of private lakefront access with a great view of the lake and sunsets. In addition to the lakefront access at The Pier, Ruggles Park is located immediately next door. It is a community park and is open to the public. There is a small beach, a basketball court, and a pier for fishing. You may want to consider bringing lawn chairs and a cooler 😊. There are NO LIFEGUARDS. The Cardinal cottage has 2 bedrooms - 1 full size bed and 1 bunk with a full-size bottom and a single top. It has 1 bathroom, a kitchen with a range, a refrigerator, and a small porch. There is a pavilion for outside dining/picnics. It is shared with the other 4 tiny cottages and is equipped with two charcoal grills (charcoal not provided) and a propane grill (propane provided). There are two shared fire rings at lakefront and there is parking on-site for 1 vehicle only. There is no TV, but we have Wi-Fi. There is no central heating, but the cottage has an electric radiator-type heater in each bedroom and a wall heater in the common room. There is no air conditioning, but each cottage has a whole house fan, and we also provide circulating fans. The Pier is equipped with a potable water supply. It has an on-site PA Department of Environmental Protection approved water treatment system. Our water is chlorinated and softened and tested monthly. Kayaks and Paddleboards: You can bring your own or rent them locally. We have a shared dock to launch and tie-up. Lifejackets (not provided) are required on PA Fish & Boat Commission Lakes. There are NO LIFEGUARDS. The new owners have done an exceptional job remodeling all five cottages. My Cardinal Cottage was well furnished and very clean. The location was perfect for launching my kayak. It's the best place to watch sunsets and moon rise! One can easily walk to Happy Jax, Frog Pond, Putt Golf, The Bear Inn. I would highly recommend a stay at Pier 66! The owners respond quickly to all correspondence. I absolutely will return! ##### Joyce B. We stayes at the Cardinal cabin and our friends stayed at the other 4 cabins at the pier. We loves the amenities as a large group, especially the docks and pavilion. The cabin was a perfect place to sleep and all we needed. There is no AC so it does get warm during the day, but with all the things to do outdoors (we rented and pontoon at Lloyd's rentals down the road) no one wanted to be in the cabins anyways. The cabin itself had everything you need including a fully stocked kitchen. Linens and towels were also provided as well. The screened in porch was also a lovely perk especially because out door to get in the cabin didnt have a tight seal on the top or bottom so it helped with bugs. ##### HollyMike F.
