Very nice hotel. I've stayed in two others close by previously and this one was by far the best. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice for probably anyone and any preference. Huge plus for being able to open windows instead breathing aircon unnecessarily! It seems rare nowadays. Did not use sauna unfortunately as I was informed you have to go there in swimwear which isn't too healthy. Otherwise very good stay.

Clarion Hotel in Umeå is well worth a visit. The staff at the reception had a good and welcoming attitude and had good knowledge of both the hotel and the city. Be sure to visit the hotel's roof terrace with bar and restaurant. Not only the fantastic view, the food was of a high standard and the knowledge of both food and drink was good among the serving staff. Don't miss out on the delicious breakfast either. As a vegan, gluten- or lactose-intolerant, there are several options. What about vegan waffles, for example?
