Hemlock Hideaway - cozy cabin retreat close to the best sights of Potter County!

  • Welcome to Hemlock Hideaway! Your comfy and cozy destination for all of your favorite Potter County attractions. Our location offers close convenient access to all the popular outdoor activities (star gazing, hunting, fishing, hiking, ATV and snowmobile trails), yet also provides all the amenities for just unplugging and relaxing. If you find any of those options appealing, this little cabin is perfect for you! We are situated on 1.5 acres with a serene babbling brook which makes for the perfect morning coffee escape. The property also backs up to state forest land and is very close to state game lands. Plenty of trees surround the property for shade and seclusion. You will have some Verizon cell phone access, and TV available if wanted, but it is also a great place to unplug and relax. The property offers convenient access right from US Route 6, and has 3 bedrooms, (1 with double bunks), 1 bath, full kitchen, a sleeper sofa, and a laundry room.

The area is absolutely beautiful. A lot of natural parks and beautiful downtown areas to enjoy. The cabin is very well kept with a lovely fire pit situated right next to the creek. Perfect for stargazing.

Idyllic setting in a central location

My family and I stayed at the cabin for a couple of days. The cabin had a well stocked kitchen and plenty of bedding and linens for a comfortable stay. We picnicked out by the creek that runs by the front of the cabin. Nearby there are numerous state parks, including Cherry Spring which provided fantastic night sky viewing.

Comfortable cabin set in a nice area with view of the creek from the porch. Nice size rooms, very clean, with just about everything provided for your stay. Driving distance to several points of interest, PA Grand Canyon, Cherry Springs State Park, Kinzua Bridge, etc. Several small towns to walk around, especially nice was Wellsboro, you can spend a day there. All in all, very enjoyable stay.

We had a magical day just hanging outside on the property until we went to cherry springs at night. Kids played in the creek all day which was shallow and cold. Didn’t want to leave! Hope to come again one day

Perfect getaway under the stars!

The cabin was very clean and cozy! Perfect place to unplug, see the stars, and connect with nature. Very close to Cherry Springs, but the stars were equally as magnificent from the cabin. Our second day was pretty overcast, so we took an hour drive to Kinzua Bridge State Park, which was really cool as well. The accommodations and experience exceeded our expectations!

Beautiful Getaway

The cabin was very peaceful and clean. We have stayed at the cabin several times because of the beauty surrounding it and the peacefulness of it. Perfect mountain escape

This was our family’s first time visiting Potter County. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The cabin provided all that we needed and the property was ideal with space to throw a frisbee, a flowing creek, fire pit and a great view of the stars. There was plenty to do within a short drive. We enjoyed the Lumber Museum, biking through the PA Grand Canyon, visiting Denton Park and fishing at Rainbow Paradise. We will definitely be back!

Amazing stay

I stayed here with my kids and close friends as a last summer getaway before going back to school. We went to Cherry Springs and visited Lyman Run. The cabin was in between both and the perfect size. It had every supply stocked that we could think of. The shower, bathroom, and kitchen were beautiful and modern! The view and comfort from the campfire rivaled our evening in Cherry Springs. The kids really enjoyed the creek and catching frogs. I will recommend this place to anyone traveling this way! We loved it!

Peaceful getaway

Perfect place to sit back and relax. The cabin is well stocked along with everyday "essentials". We were impressed by kitchen supplies, laundry room and towel supply. We have not had that experience elsewhere. The most enjoyable was sitting on the porch and listening to the creek while the storms were moving in. Great weekend for all. Thanks so much!!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this fantastic cabin!! We had 4 adults and 3 children and had plenty of space. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The kids loved running around in the stream. The water was about knee deep, so it was perfect for them. It was great just to sit around the fire and watch them have a blast. Cherry Springs state park was only about 20 minutes away, though the stargazing form the yard was almost as impressive. All in all, we had a fantastic trip here and made tons of great memories. We hope to be back and in the future!
