The owners were great and responsive. The room was exactly as it was in the photo, but the floors were uneven. It's an old house so that's expected and added to the charm. My biggest concern with this Inn was security and feeling safe. Once I arrive, my concern became relief. It was very secure and I felt very safe. I highly recommend this Inn.

The Allegory is a very rustic home about 70 years old, that has been converted into a 7 bedroom rental. The owners are friendly and helpful. The unit would be great for a winter ski get away. The unit clean, and the shared kitchen provided the basics for breakfast along with a communal fridge.

You can tell the owners take great pride in what they are providing for their guests. The Allegory is a sweet older home turned inn. We stayed on the top floor (3rd) which is a suite with bedroom, bath, kitchenette and living space with pullout couch. They had thoughtful amenities in the bathroom and it was clean. Cute New Hampshire vibe with antiques and bear theme. Coffee and continental breakfast in kitchen is casual and help yourself. Owners are working hard on updates around the inn and it is clear they are committed to making it a great experience for their guest. Also convenient to area activities including the Cog Railway, which is a must if you’re in the area. We would definitely stay at Allegory again and highly recommend it.

The Inn has 4 guest rooms on the second floor. The kitchen is on the first floor equipped with coffee machine, tea kettle, microwave and some plates. Simple breakfast is provided each morning. Some road noises can be heard at night. The room is very clean. It was a perfect place to stay for my hiking trip!
