The cottage is beautifully unique and has a welcoming and warm feel. We especially enjoyed the screened in front porch which made for a pleasant evening of just relaxing and taking in the north country. Our host, Brad, was very personable and attentive. His dog, Max, won our hearts from the moment we arrived. It was very comfortable and a short, walkable distance from downtown Northport. The screened porch was a great place to chat with friends. Breakfast was nice, but not many options for those on restricted diets. High ceilings. House was built in 1895\. Nice porch. One exception we stayed on the top floor. The top floor was really what used to be an attic converted. The stairway to this room is very odd to say the least. Very steep with very low over heads. But we made the best of it. Bed was a bit worn we rolled towards the middle. The location to town was great.! Very easily walked . It’s a great part of the country to visit.! And the hosts were very friendly. The place was extremely clean. The only issue is that Expedia and Hotels.com misrepresented the room we stayed in. The website by Brad was very clear that the bathroom for our room was across the hall. Hotels.com said it was ensuite and also private but not separate. Brad was unaware and apologized, unfortunately he has not control over how Hotels.com presents.
