This property is in a prime location with one of the most visited National parks in the U.S. within walking distance and all the entertainment Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer just moments away. The cabin also offers easy access to the parkway with stunning views of the Smokies to be enjoyed. Also, the world-famous route for motorcyclist and car enthusiasts alike known as the Tail of the dragon and deals gap are only minutes away with world class riding and driving experiences. Only 4 miles to Townsend where you will find grocery stores, restaurants, entertainment, river access, churches, horseback riding, and river tubing, along with motorcycle and street legal UTV rentals. There are always activities at the visitor center like hot air balloons, club meets, lumberjack competitions or music festivals. There are so many wonderful things to explore, come stay with us and experience the very best the peaceful side of the Smokies has to offer. Embodying the essence of, peace and quiet with an awesome view and convenience this property is unlike any other. Townsend is the perfect place to plan a restful visit to the mountains. The location of the cabin is peaceful with amazing views. The cabin is exactly what it is described to be. The only thing that could use an upgrade is the cooking utensils and pots and pans. Townsend is limited during the off season for restaurants. We love to cook when we visit so we went to Walmart in Maryville to get a larger no stick pan that fit our needs. A skillet or gas grill would be a great addition. I would caution people with disabilities or physical ailments about the stairs. The stairs going to the main bed are very steep and can be tricky to navigate during a late night potty break. . The living room area was great. The couch is super comfy. We weren’t able to navigate the TV for live channels and there werent any directions on how to operate. We used the Hulu app and made do that way.

What a peaceful, comfortable stay! We wanted to experience the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and not the tourist trap of nearby areas. Townsend and this cabin were perfect for what we were seeking. We were able to hike daily in the National Forest, visit the Townsend museums & visitor centers, go to Tuckaleechee Caverns (highly recommend), go to Maryville and visit the History Museum and Cades Cove museum, connect with people that are direct descendents of the history of the area. Although we are not golfers, someone told us about the views at Wild Laurel Golf Corse just minutes from the cabin, so, we went there to the tavern and soaked in the sunshine and the view. Don’t pass this cabin up if you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful vacation. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. When we come back to the Smokey’s, we will stay here again.

We had a wonderful time staying at the cabin!! We were able to travel all around the area with ease and took in all that the area had to offer. We used the grill and fireplace and slept so well on the comfy beds! All communication with the property owner was great with the check-in and out process easy and clear. We were under the impression that there were two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Very inconvenient just having one bathroom. The cabin was a little cold. The fireplace did not vent properly and couldn’t be used our second night. The listing stated minutes walk to Cades Cove and we walked and didnt reach the cove. But overall it was a sufficient stay.

This is our favorite cabin for the view, location and easy access without steep roads. It’s an easy commute to pigeon Forge, gatlinburg, and our favorite Cades cove. We hope to have the chance to bring our little family again next year.

We had a wonderful family stay at this cabin. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully set up with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like a home away from home.The location was perfect—peaceful and quiet, surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, yet conveniently close to the national park and nearby attractions and could travel to other areas with ease. We loved how Townsend offered a more relaxed, less crowded experience compared to other areas, which made it ideal for a family trip.The cabin provided plenty of space for our family to relax, unwind, and spend quality time together. Whether it was enjoying the mountain views, relaxing on the porch, or winding down after a day of exploring, this cabin was the perfect retreat.Communication with the host was great, and everything was exactly as described. We made some special family memories here and would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay in the Smokies. We would not hesitate to book again!

Easy access. Clean, comfortable and inviting. For us, the location is perfect to unplug and unwind. You can hike to Schoolhouse Gap from the cabin. Minutes to Townsend, Cades Cove, Tuckaleechee Caverns, Horseback riding. Maryville is a half hour away and has all of the stores. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are 30-40 minutes.
