It’s hard to decide what stood out the most for our stay…. To begin with the woman working the front desk at check-in was amazing, kind, friendly, answered all my questions, incredibly welcoming. I made a joke about the frequent review of not having a coffee maker in the rooms and the gentleman working laughed and gave me a tour of their amazing Bunn coffee station that is open 24 hours. It was stocked to the brim with coffee creamer, sugar, sweetener, honey, tea, hot chocolate packets. I made a late night cup of decaf because I was needing something warm after coming in from the cold weather outside. I’m not a coffee pro but this was one of the best coffees I have had in a long time. They also offer chocolate chip cookie on check in, take one, they are amazing!!! Our room was very nice, looked newly remodeled. The bathroom had a walk in shower which I’ve never seen in a hotel. We thought the water pressure was great and the shower was a great size. I loved the wardrobe storage in the room, the desk was nice. The fridge kept things nicely cold. The beds were so comfortable. The sheets and blanket were great quality, the pillows were top notch compared to other hotels we have stayed at. Usually I hate hotel pillows and don’t sleep well. I slept fantastic & wished I had asked the brand so I could buy one. The fitness center is pretty basic but would do good for someone traveling through. Will assume we are getting a refund, but the booking company said they would deny it. Gross. After going out to dinner and what not we got to bed at around midnight when my sister was laying in her bed and notice a bed bug was crawling on her pillow that her head was laying on. I killed the bug and then I searched her bed for more which from what I could see there was no more but who knows and I searched my bed and didn’t see any. We were so scared of the possibility of there being more that we slept on the floor that night. I would’ve called the front desk to get a new room but since our room had bed bugs I’m sure the other rooms did too. I was going to talk to the front desk about it in the morning and I went to go talk to someone but there was no one in sight. So I was just going to email them instead. I emailed them and they apologized for the inconvenience and said that they’d only give me my pet fee back since I have 2 pets ($59). Which I find stupid considering the fact I sent them pictures of the bed bug. Not to mention that they also leave the outdoor doors that have no key card access fully unlocked over night which is a safety hazard (we tested the doors out of curiosity). There were likes and dislikes about this property. I liked the pool area and the warm water. The beds were comfy along with nice pillows and comforter. The breakfast was good and there was a variety of food you can choose. The downside is I have a 4 year old with autism who likes to elope when he can and the rooms are not ideal for this. First the sink is in the room area not in a different room there is a slide pocket door which was not keeping him out of the bathroom. The fact there was only a shower and no tub didn’t work for him and you can’t adjust the water it was one temp and that was pretty warm. Although the property must have a soft water system which was ver nice. The door to the room didn’t have the tall deadbolt lock it instead had a lever right by handle that you flip out which he figured out right away and I was constantly trying to keep him in the room I had to fold up a hand towel and shimmy it between the wall and flip to where he would be able to pull it out and open the door.
