While not glamorous, the room was clean, comfortable and walking distance from the station and the centre of Ikebukuro. It was the perfect place to base myself for a day of sightseeing around Tokyo. The manger and staff were were friendly and helpful. The manager even allowed me to check in when I arrived early which was greatly appreciated. My room was pretty spacious considering Japanese standards. The decor of the room was a little worn, but the bathroom looked recently renovated. Room facilities were good, and the internet-connection worked as expected. Lovely owners and comfortable, clean and well equipped rooms. Ikebukuro is not a main touristic area and I really liked to stay in this district. Mostly locals and interesting surroundings. Still it’s very easy to go to any other Tokyo district with JR and Subway. Will come back here for sure.
