I slept very well in the comfy four poster bed and it's lovely not being troubled by light pollution. The coastal path is very close, and also a beautiful walk through the wooded valley to the waterfall. I had the option of using the log burner but found the cottage was cosy enough. There is lots to see and do in the area, but I chose to walk from the cottage every day, sketchbook in hand. It had a great 'olde worlde' feel about the cottage with old double front doors and exposed beams. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a separate laundry room. The private walk up the valley and towards St Nectan's waterfall was amazing. We would have preferred not to have had to bring our own towels.
