It was like staying at a resort. The receptionist accidentally re-charged me for the same booking- which when I inquired about later since it exceeded the typical hold for damages the receptionist was friendly and helpful, and immediately refunded the money. They used keys instead of updated key pads. There was no lotion in the room which is not a huge deal. I bring my own supplies. Breakfast I was told was at 7 for grab and go and 7:30 for hot food. It was actually 7:30 8 a.m. for hot food. I didn't mind I just sat and waited the view by the windows was breathtaking. The only other thing that I would say is check the website for activities they admit that's the best way for accuracy. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. The view from the lakefront hotel was beautiful. The beach was small and private. I loved the hiking trails, and quiet atmosphere. I would recommend this to a friend. Oh, there is wifi, but there was no television in the room, or microwaves. The restaurant was also not open, and there were limited places to go to eat. So be prepared. :) The parking lot was also limited, and it took me a few minutes to find where our room was, the buttons for handicapped also didn't work. Nothing to deter me from coming back.

Originally booked for a room upon check in we were upgraded to the pine lodge where we stayed for 3 nights would highly recommend.

Such a beautiful time, So clean, and cozy. Such a beautiful, peaceful, and romantic place. Very enchanting, and the owner is so kind, and caring. Def cant wait to go back again.

My favorite hotel. I initially stayed here because I recently started working at glens falls hospital which is well within walking distance. But I have booked stays since as I love the classical feel of the hotel, with elegant first floor with high ceilings and banquet rooms and simple but classy rooms. I love the live piano music early in the evening and live music at Fenimore's pub on friday and saturday. The food is also delicious and room service is available. The employees are very friendly and helpful, both at the front desk and in the pub.. esp the male bartender named Kasey.

The property itself and the rooms are lovely. We arrived at supper time on friday night. Found no one on site to check us in. Had to call a phone #, which told us i should have received an email with check in information, i did not. Also i had no internet to check that. Eventually got checked in. Door code didn't work. Had to call back, have it reset from them. By this time 7 pm and no restaurant in town open. Drove to Gore Mountain ski hill, food and service was awesome. Sat went hiking returned home around 4pm. Door code again did not work. Called again, this time he called in his housekeeper, waited over 40 minutes to get new code, which only worked intermittently. Very frustrating. On fri night had very loud guests next to us who did not quiet down until 4:30 am, but no one to call to ask for assistance with this.
