I was really looking forward to visiting New Orleans for the first time and staying at this historic hotel. Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t what we expected.
When we arrived, our room was very dirty, there was mold on the ceiling and in the bathroom, and several of the cabinets were broken. We brought these concerns to the hotel and requested a refund, ultimately deciding to move to another nearby hotel.
I do want to recognize the staff, especially Leroy at the front desk. Leroy was incredibly accommodating and understanding throughout the situation. In particular, the person who helped with our refund request was extremely helpful and made a frustrating situation much easier to navigate. I really appreciate the way we were treated, and their kindness helped make the rest of our trip much better.

Our stay was wonderful. The staff were helpful and so nice. Perry was awesome! He was knowledgeable about the area and a good resource. The only bad part of our stay was that other guests would hang out in the courtyard and were very loud some nights. The hotel can’t control that, so I am not going to ding them for it! We will be coming back to New Orleans for sure 😊

This is an older property in an older residential area. Limited parking in area, as mostly street parking
They have secure parking at $45+ per night. Small pool looked nice, but we did not use. Small bar also on property. Checking in can be difficult, only due to no available parking in front of building. Rooms are very basic, but we were happy with all that was provided. We left car and walked to everything as getting around area in car is a challenge, especially at night. Close walking distance to Bourbon st. , Frenchman street, which is a calmer live music area. Close to riverfront as well. Overall we were very happy with our stay here and would recommend. We are in our early 60s and we're not bothered by the amount of walking other than the heat. Welcome to the south!

"The host was great and responsive, however the units just need some TLC. One unit had not been cleaned. It smelled of cigarette smoke and one of the bed’s linens had not been washed. Cleaning services came out to replace the sheets within 30 minutes, so that was good. But the smoke smell was bad ..."
