The beds were comfortable, and the one room had an excellent view of the water. The water was a little too shallow there for swimming or fishing off the shore, but there are lots of places close by to do those activities. My understanding is that the water level was down a bit from normal as well, but i'm not positive. We did enjoy borrowing the kayaks that were available for use. She makes upgrades every year. 6 kayaks/canoes/paddleboards for guests use. Fire pit was used to its fullest. Many close beaches/restaurants/breakfast spots within a 10 minute ride. Easiest check in-out. The best spot to pick up fire wood is the entrance of Poilt Peninsula State park (a 3 min drive). I recommend this hidden gem to everyone i know. Brought our soldier son here for a respite and went kayaking and paddleboarding. Firepit at night for some Smores. Owner was very hospitable and accomodating. Would definitely stay here again. The apartment was super clean with peaceful colors & art. Vivian made our stay very comfortable; gave us solid recommendations for local eats. She chatted with us (at our invitation), and we had plenty of privacy too. The Cottage Bakery near by was a treat. Highly recommend! ##### Melissa S. That should say enough! Everything is provided. Kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets beach towels & blanket, ect... Fire pit by the shore. A bit of fire wood provided. If you're looking for extra wood; there's a stand next to Long Point State Park on the peninsula. Filled my van for $20 there. Shangri La on the peninsula is open and has some great food/drink and only a 3 min drive. Close to Cape Vincent for breakfast/lunch/dinner & groceries. We will be back every year. Until she wants to sell it to me. Hah. Thank you Vivian. ##### Michael B. Our kids loved playing in the shallow water and yard, the cottage was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed to make our stay comfortable. The host takes an enormous amount of pride in her rental. She is easy going, very friendly, and accommodating. The host also provided kayak lessons as we never had kayaked before. Very clean apartment! The host was very responsive to two requests and very pleasant. The property's beach access is steps from the door. But, "One mile long, sandy beach, located on State land, next to property"; there isn't an accessible mile long beach next to the property. The state land is overgrown. The property's beach is crushed shells, not sandy; footwear is necessary. That being said, the place is very clean inside and nicely furnished. ##### Robert O.
