"This was misleading advertising on Hotels.com. I selected a tent with 2 queen beds and a bunk bed for about R1700\. Just before we arrived I got a call from the hosts and let them know that 2 friends would arrive 30 minutes before us. I was told that I would have to pay an additional R790 for them because they charge extra each person over 2\. This was not made clear on the app. This accommodation was not worth over R2,500 for the night. Unhappy guests who feel ripped off."

"We had bats living in our roof, apparently knowingly by the owner (they built a house for them on the near cabin and they migrated to ours). We had to go to bed and sleep with constraint scratching and sliding noises, that was terrible. When we brought it to the attention of the team, they didn’t even bother apologising. "Beautiful peaceful, unique grounds and pool. Staff were all super friendly, helpful and gave recommendations for the area. The food and drink in the evening were slightly more expensive than we had paid elsewhere but was definitely worth it and was so convenient to just walk through the gardens to the restaurant each evening. A great base for Nature Valley and the Tsitsikamma Park. The only minor things were that the air con wasn’t working in the room but didn’t bother us as we had cool nights with rain and also the WiFi in the room was slow or dropped out but other than that we had a great time and would definitely recommend staying here. "
