Staff were really friendly and breakfast was basic but adequate. Only down side was construction work going on next door although no work done during early morning - and no garden or patio to sit out on. The toilet bowl shifted under weight. My husband and I found better guest houses all over Georgia, including Tbilisi, for much less. The whole reason I decided to book Hotel VIP is because I was under the impression that I would be charged through hotels.com, and we did not need to water more money on ATM fees on our last night in Tbilisi. For a hotel that charges 3x the price of a guest house (162 GEL/night), it's ridiculous not to accept credit card.
