This modern air-conditioned apartment is fully equipped with everything that you need for your holiday and more. Situated on the ground floor you have a small terrace leading from the kitchen, which is ideal to have your breakfast or a drink before dinner. This lovely bright apartment faces south giving you the full morning sun. Tastefully furnished to a high standard with wooden floors throughout the apartment. The lounge offers you the perfect place to unwind after a relaxing day of exploring the local area with its large tv and and free wi-fi. There is also a dining table where you can sample the local wines and fresh produce on offer and enjoy the company of good friends or family. This apartment consists of two bedrooms one with a double bed and the other, two single beds that can be joined together to make a double bed. The apartment is located just a short walk to the Gran Plaza shopping centre which has a supermarket, cinema, food court and plenty of shops. A 10-15 min walk and you are in the old town of Tavira which is full of history, set on the river, this is a place that you will want to visit time and time again. With plenty of restaurants offering fresh fish as well as local and international cuisine. Please read it carefully before your arrival and let us know if you need anything or have any questions. \## Neighborhood There is a beautiful coastline of unspoilt beaches within a short drive, which are crossed by the Ria Formosa Natural Reserve, considered to be one of the seven natural wonders of the Algarve. The Praia de Tavira is the region’s finest and most popular beach, which is connected to Tavira by a regular and inexpensive ferry, which departs from the city centre (10-minute walk from the apartment) and also from Quatro-Aguas. The Island is 11Km long and is thought to be one of the best beaches in the Algarve Region. Many companies offer boat tours, including kayaking and paddle boarding. The town’s leisure centre is next door to the condominium which offers superb leisure facilities including a 25 metre, 8-lane indoor pool, 5 newly resurfaced tennis courts and an Astroturf. Tavira is also a great location for golfers with a range of courses close by offering beautiful scenery in peaceful surroundings, including Monte Rei which has been ranked as the best course in the Algarve. Tavira is well known for its quaint traditional streets, where old meets new, and is a great place to do some sightseeing and while away time in the sun with a glass of wine in one of its charming plazas or cobbled streets. \## Transit There is public transport available in the area and all around the Algarve. The location is very good to explore Tavira on foot. There is a major supermarket right next door, parking at the apartment is free and secure and it is about a 10-15 minute walk to the center of town. The check-in was smooth, with the rental agent meeting us at the gate at a pre-arranged time. In the apartment itself, the beds are comfortable, the linens are excellent and the kitchen is pretty well equipped for making meals. The negatives about the apartment are that the furniture (other than beds) is very uncomfortable. The living sofa is pretty well worn out. It is unusually low to the ground and the cushioning is so worn that you can feel the frame when you sit on it. The only other place to sit is on hard, plastic chairs. The other negative, albeit minor, is that there were absolutely no condiments, not even salt and pepper, so be prepared to buy everything. It would also have been nice to at least have a roll of paper towels. Overall, this is a good place to stay if only for a few days. If the sofa was replaced and there was at least another comfortable chair to sit in, it would improve the stay immensely. As far as Tavira is concerned, it is a quaint, Portuguese town that is absolutely charming. There are many cafes and restaurants, a shopping mall, a stunning old Roman bridge and friendly locals. Jul 28, 2025 #### Férias Julho A equipa de limpeza tentou entrar em casa na 6.ª (sendo o nosso check out apenas no domingo) o que foi bastante “assustador”. A limpeza é feita superficialmente. Debaixo da cama está cheio de pó, por trás dos móveis igualmente. Estava lixo (umas etiquetas e uma embalagem vazia) dentro de uma das gavetas do quarto. A localização é relativamente boa mas desde 4.ª que tivemos uma festa lá perto (até virmos embora no domingo) e todas as noites houve bastante barulho precisamente do lado dos quartos. A porta de correr do quarto principal não tranca o que fez com que tivéssemos sempre os estores corridos. Os lençóis tinham algumas manchas apesar de me parecerem lavados.
