Double doors from the living room and kitchen of the apartment open onto a private courtyard garden with swimming pool. During the summer months, the ferryboat to the beach at Ilha de Tavira leaves from the quayside in Tavira town, around 100m from the apartment. At other times of the year, the boat leaves from Quatro Aguas which is around 1km further along the river. There are several other blue flag beaches and golf courses within a few minutes drive. The apartment is extremely conveniently located for both the beach and the town. The riverfront restaurants are close at hand and the Old Market and Roman Bridge are only a couple of minutes walk away. You can spend hours strolling the charming cobblestone streets of this lovely old town with its many restaurants, shops, bars and terraces to enjoy a refreshment in the sun. This beautiful manor house dates from the early 19th century and has been tastefully renovated to high specifications, using natural materials and retaining historical features - such as the traditional Tavira roofs and windows with interior wooden shutters, as well as thick walls which keep the property warm in winter and cool in summer. The apartment is furnished to a high standard with a combination of antique and contemporary furniture. Die Fähre zum vorgelagerten Strand fährt wenige Meter vor dem Haus. Man braucht also kein Auto. Obwohl es sich lohnt mit dem Auto die schöne Umgebung um Tavira zu erkundschaften. Die Ausstattung in der Küche war für 5 Personen umzureichend. Es fehlten Pfannen und entsprechend große Töpfe. Deshalb haben wir im Hof gegrillt, was gut ging. For us, the location was excellent and very close to many great restaurants and easy to walk to the Castle and churches. Very convenient for the ferry to Tavira Island Beach, which is a must do if you come. Eat at Sunshine Cafe on the island and at Nikita 30 feet from the apartment. Unfortunately when we arrived the Air Con had stopped working, just one of those things and unfortunate it was during our stay. A new entire system was installed to get it back up and running. It meant that we were without Air Con for a number of days, again unfortunate during a hot spell. However the owner promptly gave us an appropriate refund before the end of our stay. I would happily return and would especially recommend the place as it’s location could not be more perfect close to all amenities, after an airport transfer no car required. ##### David H. Own private pool a real bonus in the heat. The white sangria at Ofelias Cocktail bar is awesome but lethal, especially if you get 2 litres for 25 euros. 😀😀😀 ##### Paul C. Swimming pool was very refreshing as well.
