Property is well located and staff was really helpful. If going in a rental, make sure you call ahead of time to register the car with the city and have a parking spot in one of the nearby garages. Parking is definitely scarce in Ortigia. The images from the hotel show a gym, that is a bit misleading.

Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely hotel, good amenities as described. Clean, spacious room with a tremendous ocean view! Very safe and centrally located. A/C worked well, room was nice and cool. The bed was very comfortable. Would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Ortigia.

Aquí tienes: A hidden treasure: the staff Domus Mariae Albergo is simple, but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. What truly makes this place special is the staff: warm, attentive, and always willing to help. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. My only comment is that the shower space is quite small. That said, the excellent location and the outstanding service more than make up for it. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Really enjoyed our stay. Close to everything - sea, restaurants and shops. 5 minute walk to the market. Big room. Friendly staff. It has a great rooftop terrace. A little misleading about the pool - it is at the other property across the street and costs $20 euros for an hour. We parked at a public multi-level garage - about an 8 minute walk. The property is in a ZTL. Loved Ortigia.

The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. However, the floor of the room was never swept so it was sandy and the beds were never changed. The shower was small with poor drainage and therefore uncomfortable to use. The staff were very friendly.

I had a great week's stay here (July 2026). All the lstaff were both gracious and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. The rooms were clean and functional ; the room allocated had a sea facing balcony and so had a great view also. Would go back.

I loved everything about this old convent converted to hotel : the staff was super friendly and welcoming, the view over the water was wow. It was clean, a short walk to the sites and the breakfast was good. The only thing was it felt remote at night when walking alone qith my 19 year old daughter but it's close to a police station so I felt better once I saw that! Definitely recommend. A little note, no elevator so pack light but staff helped us with bags.

The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Located central in the historic part of the city. Parking is about $20.00 euros a day but they valet your car and bring it back to you when you’re leaving. Which was Great

It’s a 2 buildings hotel we were in the annex, the room was small but nice and clean. The only downside is no elevator to take the luggage up and down . Breakfast choice is very limited. Boiled eggs is offered but scrambled or other is extra charge. Amazing staff, joyful and and sooo nice. Antonella, who doesn’t speak any English was so excited to share with us the must see locations. Good location, close to many attractions. Free Bicycles to ride. Payable parking available through valet.

I had a lovely stay at Domus Mariae, the hotel is charming and conveniently located. Be sure to book a room facing the sea, the view was spectacular. Cinzia was an extremely welcoming and accommodating host. Overall I highly recommend a stay here.
