On foot you walk through a small forest directly to the beach (12 minutes). The house is in a cul-de-sac which leads off a quiet side street. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Friedrichstrasse, here you will find bars and shops. The nearest bakery is 3-4 minutes away. The neighborhood of the many small thatched houses is particularly beautiful. The house has a separate entrance for each apartment. The apartment is on the upper floor. It consists of a bathroom with shower, a separate toilet and a small fully equipped kitchen with stove, refrigerator, oven and dishwasher, three rooms of different sizes allow you to rest and live according to the needs of the individual. A double bed, a single bed and a large, comfortable sofa bed enable a comfortable sleep despite the sloping ceilings. The garden is planted with wild potato roses and autumn anemones, hydrangeas and mallows. A large outdoor seating area for all guests is located on a small lawn with a beautiful view of the neighboring garden with country-style houses and pretty Frisian walls. The neighborhood consists of several detached houses and really very small guest houses, the traffic is very moderate, the paths are easy to walk in all directions, including the train station. If you want to hike you can start right from the house in the dune landscapes towards Rantum, here you can always get to the sea through small crossings. By bike you unfortunately also ride on the road which is only partially accessible through bike paths. The low forests of pine and myrtle and birch accompany you all over the island. Jun 20, 2020 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location #### Sauber, gut gelegen aber wenig fachmännisch renoviert und schlecht ausgestattet - daher zu teuer Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, waren aber vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis der Wohnung leider etwas enttäuscht. Grundsätzlich ist die Wohnung sehr sauber und gut gelegen und wir waren froh, so kurzfristig (2 Tage im Voraus) noch eine Unterkunft gefunden zu haben. Das Mehrfamilienhaus liegt in einem ruhigen Wohngebiet im südlichen Teil von Westerland. Ein Bäcker ist in 3 Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen, am Strand ist man innerhalb von 5-10 Minuten. Auch zum Bahnhof und Supermarkt ist es nicht sehr weit (ca. 15 Minuten). Der Check-In war problemlos per Schlüsselschloss möglich. Die gewünschte Kontaktaufnahme per WhatsApp lief ganz ok, unsere Frage (ob man vom Bahnhof laufen kann) blieb dabei aber leider unbeantwortet. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung allerdings leider recht lieblos und sehr funktional eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung der Küche beispielsweise ist auf das Allernötigste beschränkt. Außerdem weicht die Wohnung zum Teil deutlich vom Inserat ab: - Beim Ankommen und während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts standen noch alte Baumaterialien (wie etwa Fliesen und Backsteine) sowie alte Glasflaschen im wenig aufgeräumten Hof. - Die Wohnung wurde teilweise wenig fachmännisch renoviert, was man an zahlreichen Farbflecken auf den Fliesen, Fenster- und Türrahmen, Tapeten oder offen liegenden Armaturen in der Dusche erkennen konnte. - Die dunklen Vorhänge von den Bildern (sowohl im Wohn- als auch im Schlafzimmer) fehlten und wurden offenbar durch helle Plissees ersetzt, wodurch es schon früh am Morgen sehr hell (und warm) in der Wohnung war. - Anders als auf den Bildern im Inserat, stand kein Fernseher im Wohnzimmer. Stattdessen fanden wir einen TV in der Originalverpackung + Zubehör (ebenfalls in Verpackung) vor. Das Anschlusskabel war fliegend durch das Zimmer gelegt. Wir wollten den TV jetzt nicht in Eigenregie aufstellen und einrichten. - Weder im Gäste-WC noch im Badezimmer war ein Spiegel zu finden (abgesehen von einem sehr kleinen Kosmetikspiegel). Auch wenn dieser Kritikpunkt sicher nicht das Schwerwiegendste war, so fiel es doch schwer, sich morgens oder abends fertig zu machen. Ein großer Spiegel stand nur im Eingangsbereich im EG auf dem Fußboden. Unsere kurzfristige Buchung mag den einen oder anderen Punkt erklären, aber nicht entschuldigen. Für eine erneute Buchung ist uns der Preis hier jedoch zu hoch. Für etwas weniger könnte man die Mängel ggf. in Kauf nehmen. ##### Thomas A. Wir haben mit zwei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern gewohnt, dafür sehr praktisch, ein Babybett wurde uns am ersten Tag nachgeliefert. Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind ausreichend da. Für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder groß genug, wen man tagsüber unterwegs ist.
