The house was large enough for my family to feel comfortable and not over crowded. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean and it’s nicely decorated. We stayed during a new moon so we saw an impressive night sky. The biggest downside of our stay was the pool water being too chilly, we didn’t swim much because of that. The pool room’s air temperature was almost too hot. Also, the dock isn’t directly out front as you’d expect, it’s roughly 100 feet down making it hard for our elderly parents to reach for a ride on the boat. We enjoyed using both living rooms with TVs, game tables, jacuzzi, and fire pit. The location was good, roughly 15-20 mins to McHenry and not far from the state park.
