This is a 3rd floor unit in a 12 unit building. My wife and I have owned this unit since 2002 and enjoy spending time there with our children as often as possible. The unit is in excess of 1000 square feet with 2 full size bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, a dining/living room area with sliding glass doors that open onto the balcony, and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. The high living room ceiling and skylight are also attractive features. The unit is spacious, which allows the family to enjoy time together as well as allows an individual to enjoy some privacy when desired. Beachwalk has a large parking area in the back of the building and a small number of spaces in the front. The large pool, located in the back of the building, provides many hours of enjoyment. Since there are only 12 units in the building, the pool is rarely crowded. Beachwalk is just across the street from the public beach access and your feet can be in the sand and ocean within a couple minutes. The Surfside pier and the Garden City pier provide an excellent opportunity to fish for those who enjoy it. There are restaurants near both. The Garden City pier has an arcade and there is live music in the evenings during the summer months. There are community parks within walking distance of Beachwalk that have swings, slides, etc for the younger children to enjoy. Both adults and children enjoy watching and feeding the turtles at a nearby pond in the evenings. It is a short drive to many other restaurants, a water park, flea market, bowling, miniature golf, shops, and many other activities. Myrtle Beach is approximately 10 minutes away for those who want to venture further out. Surfside Beach is family oriented. You could tell that it had been thoroughly cleaned. We didn’t cook, but if we had wanted to make dinner, the kitchen was very well stocked with necessities. I worked from the condo and loved that I could sit at the table and see the beach. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes which was fantastic. I loved the layout of this condo as we were 2 adults couples, and the bedrooms did not share a wall. Also, we never heard the neighbors despite being surrounded by families! The A/C worked great, so despite the sweltering heat outside, we were always cool! The skylight and cathedral ceiling in the living room made the main area very bright and felt spacious. Having cable TV was a plus as we did watch TV at night. The mattress in the master was very comfy and there was tons of storage! Parking was always plentiful. There were lots of open spaces despite it being a holiday week. Cons: 3rd floor with no elevator & linens/towels are not provided. I did not notice this while looking at amenities because I had never rented a unit that didn’t provide it. So if you are flying in, you should be sure to note this. (The listing is correct, but since it’s simply not listed as an amenity, you may miss it.) You are on Ocean Blvd, so during busy times, the master can get quite a bit of road noise. It is clean and was perfect for our family. Loved the high ceiling and view of the ocean. Check in and check out process was good and the owner communicated appropriately. We also appreciated that it came with 2 parking passes so we could park our vehicle and golf cart. Many stores and resturants are golf cart accessible from this property. Dean is a very responsive and helpful host. I gave a four star rating on cleanliness, not because the unit was not clean, because it was. The issue was there were a few places that needed a thorough dusting. It was mostly walls close to the heating and air vents and above washer and dryer. I’m sure this is hard to keep ahead of during busy tourist season, and is probably addressed in the slower off season. Again, this definitely would not stop me from staying here again. Condo was stocked with everything we needed for the week. I loved the layout of the condo which made it perfect for my adult daughter and I.
