You get what you pay for!

In General the hotel is ok. Not more, not less. The staff is like always in Indonesia, very welcoming and taking care the whole time. This is the biggest positive point in this hotel as well! The hotel itself is great, in first impressions. The lobby looks nice, also the rooms. The issue is the cleanliness. That the bathroom isn’t proper is, I think, standard in Indonesia. In this room we also had very Dirty bedding and towels. This is a no-go. If this is not totally proper to clean, throw it away and take a new one. Due to this fact I would not recommend it.

Kesan pertama di Sala View Hotel adalah hotel yang harga terjangkau, pelayanan lumayan baik, lokasi strategis, kebersihan kamar cukup bersih hanya saja ada bau tidak sedap pada salah satu kamar yang kami pesan dan sajian menu breakfast juga cukup bervariasi meskipun terdapat menu buah yang disajikan sudah tidak fresh serta menu nasi goreng yang sudah dingin. Sedangkan area parkir agak sempit namun ada free vallet service yang ditawarkan sehingga hal ini cukup membantu.

Gute zentrale Lage nur 10 min Fußweg vom Bahnhof Purwosari. Viele kleine Warung vor und neben dem Hotel. Für den Preis ein gutes Frühstücksangebot. Insgesamt alles schon etwas abgewohnt aber dem Preis angemessen und sauber.

Not for the picky!

On check-in, they only found our second room when we complained about only having one. When we asked about booking a car with driver they did not know what to do. Luckily we had a number to phone. Eventually, that all went well, but the receptionists didn't seem to understand our English very well. The roof top bar was supposed to be open, but wasn't. We were told it would probably be open at 6pm and, much to our surprise, it was! It is a pleasant space and the barman spoke better English. The area of the hotel is fine and very close to the train station to Yogya - walking distance. My bed sheet was stained and was not changed. Both rooms had very slow emptying sinks, but the showers were good. Breakfast was good, with Indonesian dishes as well as fruit, breads and eggs cooked to order.
