A very beautiful old English building with so much character. I brought my dog with me, and he really enjoyed staying there as well. They have a coffee machine available for free, a large dining table, and an amazing view. We really enjoyed our stay!

It was a great little spot to get to Lincoln. We had our puppy there and he loved it as well. There’s no staff or front desk, it’s very laid back and independent. Very cute spot for pets and children!
The location was beautiful. Convenient. The room was perfect for my dog and me. I'm low maintenance. It fits me.

We had a nice stay. The downstairs game rooms and sitting areas were so nice and decorated so charming with antiques and memorabilia with plenty of activities to enjoy during your stay. The property also had amazing views of the mountains.
We were some disappointed in the room as there were no closets or bureaus and no table or anywhere to put your things except the floor. Also the bathroom was so tiny you could barely turn around and again no where to put anything. I understand it is being newly renovated so hope these things can be corrected as we really love the location.

Beautiful setting and grounds. Room clean except for dead flys on the window still. Mattress fair. Room configurations odd. Customer service terrible. Booked two rooms but only received reservation form for one in order to get room and code. When texted them to send 2nd they said no. Use phone and call us when there. What should have taken 5 mins took 20mins. No staff on site to help. Would not stay again.

Love the location. Sitting outside on the property was peaceful and beautiful. I never bring my dogs with me, so it was nice to be able to do so, fire Reasonable fee. Like most old Inns, the walls are very thin, so guests who are inconsiderate can be an issue with slamming doors and loud voices at night. Shower stall in very tiny bathroom with sloping ceilings, no tub. It would not have been so bad, but the water pressure was non-existent unless you only used freezing cold water. Not pleasant. Room floor and rug had water bottle caps on it, not vacuumed recently or at least not well. Still waiting to hear why my receipt and what i was actually charged is off by about $80 (not in my favor). Self-serve coffee station in the lobby had little to no supplies all weekend. Nobody on the premises to help out or get anything done that you might need. For the cost of the room, nightly, was not worth what was provided.

The Hideaway Inn Franconia Notch is an old unique Inn in a spectacular setting that has seen better days. That being said, our room was large and comfortable (309), clean, and beds were fine. AC was window units that were loud but we just opened windows and were fine. We really enjoyed the mountain views (sat out on lawn in chairs), the pool table, and various games (e.g., chess), though some games have seen much better days (e.g., darts, 'bowling'). In the entry, there is coffee (push button different options) and hot water machine for tea (tea bags provided), milk in little frig, separate water dispenser with cold, sparkly, and hot water options, and a cooler with ice in packs which were all good and nice to have. Check in was definitely not smooth--we did not get code, had to call, got code but they told us wrong building, etc., so about 15 minute hassle. Great location to get to many places in White Mountains and plenty of food options within 15 minutes or less. Would say if you can accept some bumps but want a spectacular setting with some fun side options like pool then this is a great place. If you are easily annoyed and want perfection, don't stay here.
More of a hostel then inn. Not worth the price. Recently renovated, old inn with an amazing view is really missing the mark when it comes to hospitality.
If you are just looking for a decent enough place to stay, it's OK. Rooms are comfortable and cutely decorated with found items and a recent coat of paint. But really nothing else that you would expect from an inn.
It lacked the essence of the reason one would stay at an inn; hospitality. The check-in process was wonky, It took all day for us to get our codes to get into our room.
The rooms had paper-thin walls, we felt like our neighbors were sharing our room with us. The shower had really poor pressure ( 3rd floor) and the temp. never got above cool, warm.
A huge disappointment was the lack of fresh coffee service in the morning. A nice cup of coffee in a real mug over-looking the beautiful view would have been so easy of a request to fulfill. They had a coffee "machine" down in the lobby ( next to the phone you had to use to speak to someone to get any service). A gas-station convenience store type machine with paper cups. It was not cleaned out from the day before so we could not even make any coffee. Huge FAIL. It took someone 30 min. to come clean it on a Sunday morning at 9:00 am, so it would work. Luckily Polly's Pancake Parlor is close.
The outside property was poorly maintained and adorned with full trash barrels in various corners. Don't expect much. The rooms and hallways were clean though,
We really enjoyed our stay! It was a really unique place-- a nice switch from the usual big chain hotels. There were cool amenities (a bowling lane, pool table, darts, etc.), and the whole property had fun, quirky decor. The only note is that the window A/C unit was quite noisy (it would startle us awake when it banged on every few minutes.)
My wife and I very much enjoyed our two-night stay. Beautiful setting, great views, proximity to good restaurants were among the positives.
The only disappointment was the check-in process. With no staff around to help and our not having received the necessary information (e.g., room number) to complete our checking in, we were quite frustrated to not be able to gain access to our room until 45 minutes after arrival.
Fantastic property with so much to do. Views were incredible, charming rooms. Billiards, darts, poker, duckpin bowling, and hundreds of records to chose from in the common area with a player in the room
We had a fantastic stay at the Hideaway. The location and setting were perfect--amazing views from the Adirondack chairs both in the evening and morning. Good coffee in the lobby. Check in and check out worked seamlessly even though the fully on-line process was new to me. Even though we didn't use the common spaces we thought they would be great for a family of all ages. We will be back!
This was a super cool property! Lots of fun activities for the kids and a laid back community area for the adults. While our room was initially not the correct size (king vs quadruple), it was corrected immediately. My family commended me for my last minute choice and planning, which is always a plus! Coffee machine was not that great but we're a little spoiled by Europe, so it wasn't quite up to par. That said, it was complimentary, so I can't really complain! Would absolutely recommend this beautiful place to every type of traveler!
Terrible. Dead bugs all over the room. Mattress was so warm that the middle was a sink hole. Sides folded up like a taco shell. Tried to call to get a new room. Told no. Asked for our money back to stay somewhere else. Was told no. Tried to used the fire pit. No propane. Asked for the propane to be filled/replaced. Was told no. Place is falling apart. Staff sucks. Holiday weekend stay, you would think they would have cleaned the place up. Don’t stay here.
I was supposed to get an email 24 hours before check-in which would give me my room number and key code. I did not receive it in time possibly because I was in an area in the mountains that has poor reception. On my way from that area to the hotel, I still did not receive the email though I was in an area that allowed good reception.
When I arrived at the hotel, there was no one available to help me. If the WiFi info had been posted in an appropriate place in the reception area, I would have been able to get online and find the email and avoid all of the trouble.
