The accommodation was lovely and of historic significance. Peaceful and I felt I could have contact with the hosts or didn't have to. The rooms were very clean, quaint and cosy with good coffee and great choice of teas. A self cooked breakfast was included which was appreciated. We visited in winter and unfortunately the one heater for the two rooms was very ineffective and we spent a cool night huddled under blankets on the sofa. The cost was on the high side for us compared to other places we stayed on this trip but all in all it was a pleasant stay. Wonderful hosts who went that extra mile to make our stay comfortable including a lovely greeting, a full breakfast we could cook (eggs, juice, bacon) our host even went to the shops to get us bread as he’d forgotten it. Just impeccable hospitality. The cottage was snug and delightfully homey with heathers English interior design.
