However, the Ship Inn was a great choice. We (4 of us) had dinner there and it was excellent! The waiting-staff was very friendly and helpful. We had included breakfast there the next morning as well and we were glad we did with made-to-order items as well as some buffet-choices. I had a lovely stay at the Ship Inn. My single room was clean, welcoming and had a super view of the harbour. The breakfast menu was amazing, I was spoilt for choice. 5\* service and produce. Walking over the headlands to Dunnottar Castle was an incredible experience. The view from our room was beautiful, this is such a magical location. The bed and the room were very comfortable. The included full Scottish breakfast each morning was great. There is a pub on the main level of the inn that serves pub food as well. There is also a restaurant next to the pub. What a great visit.
