Fantastic location and grounds which made up for the shortcomings of the unit we were assigned (A301). We paid quite a lot of money and to get a room with permanent dirty oil stains on the tile throughout, a broken bathroom lock being held together with a allen key (no kidding), located right over the restaurant with great food but a loud extractor fan going all day, and other obvious wear and tear was rather disappointing. Positives were the unit was spacious and had a pretty good. I would consider staying again but I will request a different unit and if not try to find somewhere else.

The location is great and it is nice to have eating options on property. I do not recommend eating at Sudi’s though. Sapphire beach is beautiful and it was especially nice to have free chairs for the beach. The downstairs shower had no working hot water and the upstairs toilet did not flush properly. Other than that it was great and still recommend it overall for the beautiful view and location.

The beach view was good. The fact that it had a beach view was not explicitly stated in the advertisement. They should send a picture of the emergency generator also. That will help alleviate fears of long periods of no electricity.

We really enjoyed staying at Sapphire Beach. We loved the beach and view. The rooms were clean and well kept. I was disappointed with the men running the bar. At times they were rude, and they over charged us for our drinks.

Check in was a nightmare as we could not get into our room and it took over 1 hour to locate someone to bring the key - this after we pre arranged for a later than expected check in as our flight was delayed - once that was settled the property is very nice, bar, restaurant, beach was excellent and a great location just 3 minutes from red hook

My wife and I stayed beachside at Sapphire beach for a weekend. The suites are nice with amenities for cooking if you want. The beach is A , good for wading, swimming and definitely snorkeling. The onsite amenities include a pizza shop, a cabana bar and an upscale restaurant. I will definitely plan to return, had an awesome time. Side note- the office was difficult to find but just ask any of the employees, they were all very nice and helpful

Sofa Beds not good

Stayed her during a girls trip and had a great time. The resort is located on a beautiful beach and the restaurant and beach bar are very good. We stayed in one of the Villa's and the space was run down, broken panel on closet and the sofa beds need new mattresses. If you are staying and sleeping in an actual bed, perfect.

Upon arrival, all staff greater is and was very helpful. Even the gardener stopped what he was doing to ask if we needed help. A+ service from everyone. Nice lively place, loud music at the bar and into the night and can be enjoyed while at the beach. Nearby food at restaurants on site were good. Taxi to town is $17 each person or $8 each to red hook. Not bad if u plan when and were to go.

The location is superb. However, the hotel is in major need of updating. We were there in 2005; no updates have been made since then--except a pad added to the old mattress. There was a used bar of soap in the shower. We had the sense that the room had not been cleaned
