The location and accommodations were exactly as described and perfect for our family. Definitely recommend getting a cab from the ferry dock if you have luggage. The hill to the cottage is steep but completely manageable after arrival. I would be sure to just tell your cab driver to take you to the Samuel Cottages and not the address listed and it would be helpful to know which cabin letter you are assigned to. The walk into Cruz Bay was no problem and we did it many times even with our smaller children. When you arrive on the ferry with all of your luggage, I would suggest taking a taxi to the Samuel cottages, but after that walking is no problem.If there was a washer and dryer on sight, I’d say this place is perfect. I knew we wouldn’t have laundry facilities going into it, but I’ve decided a week long beach vacation for a family of 6 requires the ability to do laundry. The cottage was clean, well-located, and had most of what we needed. We appreciated the use of the cooler, beach chairs, and beach towels. The host was wonderful to communicate with and was helpful whenever needed, everything was very clean and all of the amenities worked great. It was easy to find and clean. Note, though, that the driveway, like many in St. John is VERY steep. We had to put our Jeep in 4WD to get back up. Other than that, though, the location was convenient and the beach chairs, towels, and cooler provided allowed us to fully enjoy the stunning local beaches. ##### Brian J. The villa was clean and well stocked. The view was amazing, and we loved sitting on the deck and having a glass of wine. The best part was the location--it was a 5-minute walk into town, which was especially convenient for us because we didn't have a car and was able to walk to the best restaurants and get a taxi from the dock everyday.
